VIT Bhopal University provides diverse cultural ambience. The student demographics convey that the University has students from every part of the country. In order to help incoming freshmen adapt to the new environment, the University runs a Student Ambassador Program, which is constituted by student representatives from each state. The incoming freshmen are initially apprehensive about the new environment; they are out of the comfort zones of their homes with parents being far away. The student ambassadors provide support and encouragement to help them feel comfortable in the University. The freshmen also connect to the student ambassadors instantly being from the same state and feel comfortable interacting with them in their own language. The parents can also communicate with the student ambassadors to know more about the University, in terms of academics, campus life etc.
VIT Bhopal University displays multi-ethnicity in the true spirit by celebrating regional festivals and conducting cultural events to showcase the rich regional culture of states, through various student regional clubs. Celebration of Onam, Garba, Durga Pooja, Pongal, Ganesh Chaturthi, Christmas are some of the happening events in the University displaying fervour of togetherness as one big family. As a part of the Student Ambassador Program, the University facilitates students and parents to know more about academics, campus life and other activities of VIT Bhopal, by conducting customized one to one online sessions.
