As the country is celebrating 75th year of Independence as “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” to commemorate 75 years of progressive India and glorious history of its people, culture and achievements, VIT Bhopal University is celebrating National Science Week under the theme of “Integrated Approach in S&T for Sustainable Future” , to commemorate the discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by the great Indian physicist Sir C V Raman on February 28, 1928, with the motive of telling the nation about the contributions of our great scientists who have been instrumental in bringing India this far. This creates an opportunity to display the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science for human welfare. Participation of society in such celebrations develops scientific temperament in the public along with the sense of responsibility and belongingness towards the nation. Issues being faced by the society and their possible technical solutions can be discussed on such platforms and the implementation of new technologies for the development of science can be promoted, as well.
A Lecture Series, Inter-University (National Level) Quiz Competition, E-Exhibition (for school students of Class 09th -12th) on “Science and Technology for Sustainable Future” and National Level Speech Competition (for school students of Class 09th -12th) on “Science and Superstition” is being organized in the National Science Week Celebration at VIT Bhopal University during 25 February – 03 March, 2022.
