The event “Electro-VLSI” aims at imparting knowledge to students for B.E./B.Tech./M.Sc. (Elect) at the advance nanometre technology in VLSI Circuits and System Design. The event covers the importance and requirement of VLSI insight for VLSI Industries such as Intel, Global foundry, Mediatek, etc. Electro-VLSI is a series of guest lectures from renowned industry/academic experts. Further expert lectures will follow by tool interaction session (workshop). The Workshop session consist of 3 VLSI tool training session such as (i) TCAD (Technology computer aided design) Device simulation, (ii) Digital Circuit design using hardware description language (HDL), (iii) Antenna on Chip design using simulation software from specialized tool experts. Furthermore, the event is followed by an interesting design challenge “InnoVIT. The event will cover topics at various abstraction levels, helping the participant to understand the in-depth functionality of an advance VLSI system in perspective of VLSI Industries.
The expert guest lecture series in this event will provide the participants an insight into the wide scope of opportunities in the domain of VLSI Circuits that covers flow of VLSI design from device, circuits to system design. The design and simulation sessions will give the participants a deep understanding from the mechanism of current flow in electronics to design a system level covering various levels of abstraction i.e. device, circuit, digital, system and communication on chip design. There will be three dedicated sessions at (i) Device and its circuit Applications (ii) Digital Circuit Design, and (iii) Antenna on chip design, which will enable a participant to understand the design and development of a typical VLSI circuits and system design. Finally, there will be a design challenge “InnoVIT” in which the participants will be provided with a real time problem statement faced by society and they have to submit the optimized solutions.
