It is regarded as the best university in terms of providing new innovative programmes that keep pace with the changing technology scenario and prepare a globally competent generation of professionals.

Taking forward this VIT legacy, VIT Bhopal was established in the year 2017, with an objective to empower its students to attain excellence through learning and aligning them with the current trends in technology. As an ever growing and evolving entity, the institute has always adopted and adapted to various circumstances including the pandemic situation we face currently. All our resources and compiled effort goes towards making things possible, adjusting to the choices we face and bringing about the right kind of change needed.

One such example, in the current pandemic situation was the remarkable start of the HACKOVIT-2020 – According to UNESCO, around 1.3Billion students across the world were not able to attend School/College/University as of March 2020 due to the current COVID scenario. And during this demanding situation, the School of Computing Science and Engineering (SCSE) at VIT Bhopal has successfully organized an online National Level Hackathon “Hack CoVIT 2020” on the 1st of May2020. The primary objective of the event was to identify and promote applications to help people in the aftermath of the global pandemic. HackCoVIT2020 invited students up to UG level to participate and exhibit their skills. With an overwhelming response from students from all across the country, participation from 127 institutions across 19 different states made this event a massive success. The jury members included brilliant minds from Google, Microsoft, Philips,Thomson Reuters,Robert Bosh,Payoda Technologies,thought-works,and Stealth mode.

Apart from providing the best in academics, a number of extracurricular activities, such hackathons, idea-thons etc. are conducted to encourage, inspire and nurture young students. Few of our other initiatives include the following:

VIT BMUN, which organizes the national level Parliamentary Debate named SANSAD keeping in mind the decorum and true spirit of a Parliamentary Debate, where student participants debate on some general issues as well as issues concerning the nation and present their take on the same. Taking part in what truly matters now though vital experiences at the MUN fosters hopes of doing the same in the future

VITronix Club – This club has been initiated to push the ever curious student engineering minds to solve real world problems and help in developing promising and sustainable solutions for the betterment of the society. Applying the skills learned into various practical implementations to improve the state of pollution, defence, surveillance, smart farming, and many more.

NSS Camps – These special camps are organized generally on various developmental issues of national importance, letting the students and other youth to work along with the adults in rural areas, thereby developing their character, social consciousness and commitment, discipline and healthy and helpful attitudes towards the community.

Other activities such as the Photography, Arts, Theatre performance, athletics etc also have their respective clubs/groups to embark on.

The world today is becoming too complex and dynamic as new technologies continue to proliferate. Today there are hardly any careers that are untouched by technology. Most of the jobs require some state of the art technology skills to be developed, in this ever evolving new world. To cater to these changing technology paradigms VIT Bhopal, offers specialization in a wide range of fields like Mechanical, Bioengineering, Aerospace, Cyber Security & Digital Forensics, AI and Machine Learning and Gaming Technology at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. We at VIT Bhopal stay thoroughly up to date – focusing on upcoming fields in engineering, thereby providing a wide range of opportunities.
The entirety of the curriculum offered in these programmes is envisioned to meet the standards worldwide now and for the years to come, giving more opportunities to the students graduating. With qualified and trained faculty, support from major Industries like the Volkswagen, Virtual Engineering etc., practice of CALTech (Collaborative and Active Learning through Technology) which includes presentations, projects, workshops and regular assignments for both theoretical and practical knowledge and FFCS (Fully Flexible Credit System) which allows every student to plan their pace of study at the institution, VIT Bhopal proves to be the best academic destinations.

The extent of International Collaboration at VIT includes signing multiple MoU’s with foreign universities to boost the advancement of education, promote scientific research to improve the wavelength between the students and faculties.

Our keen focus has always brought out the best results, a student of the 2018-2022 batch, Jasjeev Singh has been given an offer by Roach Interactive, India of Rs. 6 Lakhs based on his project work demonstrated in August 2019. Not only this, many students from the 2019-2023 have developed games in their first semester which are now available on various platforms such as the play store. VIT Bhopal has doctorate faculty and futuristic infrastructure which includes Coding studios, Computer labs, Gaming studio, library with latest online databases and international titles, availability of VR sets exclusively for the students of gaming technology. The Gaming Department of VIT Bhopal has signed MoUs with Unity Asia Pacific for Gaming, UI Path (USA) for RPA/Coding, Roach Interactive for Game Design and Full Sail University. These MoUs provide our students with many learning opportunities and help them to stay up to date with the world outside the institution as well.

Marching towards academic excellence, VIT Bhopal also takes intrepid steps to nurture innovations and promote research activities. CyVIT, the Annual Cyber Security Conclave in association with National Cyber Safety and Security Standards-New Delhi, is the signature annual event of VIT Bhopal University. The event is focused to foster the exchange of ideas, insight, and technology among the pioneers of the academic and IT security industry. This is India’s one of the largest Cyber Security conclaves, hosted exclusively for cyber experts along with professionals working in this field all over the world. The event provides a unique opportunity to hear from Cyber experts and scientists sharing the latest research in cyber-security. This premier event is exclusively designed to create a mutual platform for experts and the public to come together and share knowledge on one pestering issue – cyber-crime and how to remain within the boundaries of cybersecurity.
