71st Republic Day Celebrations at VIT Bhopal
VIT Bhopal celebrated the 71st Republic Day with patriotic fervor, great joy and enthusiasm. The celebrations were carried out under the gracious presence of Air Vice Marshal (Dr) Pramod Shrivastava (Retd.), as Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor Dr. P Gunasekaran and Shri K.K. Nair, Registrar, Deans, faculty and students. Respected Chancellor Dr. G. Viswanathan, Vice President Shri Sankar Viswanathan, Asstt. Vice President Ms. Kadambhari S Viswanathan, Asstt. Vice President sent their Republic Day greetings to all students, faculty and staff and motivated them to work hard and contribute to the growth of our Motherland.
Air Vice Marshal (Dr) Pramod Shrivastava (Retd.) hoisted the National flag, which was followed by National Anthem and delivered the Republic Day address. Air Vice Marshal Shrivastava in his address remembered the martyrs who had laid their lives so that the coming generations could live in free India. He motivated the students to be disciplined, become worthy to contribute in the growth of the country, as it is the youth who are the pillars of any developing country.
An assemblage of performances took place ranging from dances, musical band, drama and speeches, to commemorate the freedom struggle, our present Indian Constitution and the pride that it is to be an Indian. Message of Unity, harmony and team work was conveyed by an energetic pyramid performance. Many students marked their presence, exhibited their love for their country and made the celebration a grand success.
