An industrial visit to Eisher tractor Bhopal was organized on 27-04-18 from the school of electrical and electronics engineering (SEEE). A total of 14 students from electronics and communication engineering (ECE), electrical and electronics engineering (EEE) and mechanical engineering (ME) branches accompanied by 2 faculties from the department went for the visit. Soon after our arrival at CPRI, engineers from the institute briefed us about the various activities carried out at Eisher tractor. The session was delivered by Krishna Kumar Yaduwanshi from HR department. Then, we visited the production unit of Eisher tractor. Students were divided into two groups and experts from the unit detailed them about the entire production line staring from machine parts, assembly and testing. Overall, the student found the visit very helpful in understanding the real time production line and various testing carried out in manufacturing industry.
ECE: Industry Experts and Collaborations
A one day workshop on Circuit Design & Simulation with PCB Design Software – TINA Design Suite was organized on 04-08-18 from the school of electrical and electronics engineering (SEEE). A total of 67 students from electronics and communication engineering (ECE) and electrical and electronics engineering (EEE) attended the workshop. This workshop was organized in collaboration with Scientech Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The workshop was scheduled in two sessions which are as follows: (i) circuit design techniques using TINA design suite and (ii) PCB layout optimization and fabrication using PCB prototyping machines. Four experts from Scientech Technologies Pvt. Ltd had handled the sessions. The topics covered included the following: circuit design basics, introduction to TINA design suite, PCB layout drawing, layout optimization techniques, prototype PCB design, Iintegration at system level, case studies. Overall, the student found that the workshop was critical to have an insight into the circuit design techniques and PCB layout optimization.
ECE department had organized a one day workshop on the design, modelling and simulation of antenna systems for ECE second year students. The workshop aimed at obtaining hands on training on simulation tools for antenna design.
School of electrical and electronics engineering (SEEE), department of electronics and communication (ECE) had organized a guest lecture on the topic Wireless sensor network. The session was given by Prof. Dr. T.K. Jain from IIIT Nagpur. The session mainly focused on the basics design framework of WSN, its optimization and applications.
