Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2020 Project development competition was launched by MHRD, India. Smart India Hackathon 2020 is a nationwide initiative that provides students a platform to solve some of the pressing problems faced by us in our day-to-day lives, and thus, inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset to solve challenging problems. In SIH 2020, the students would have the opportunity to work on challenges faced within various Ministries, Departments, Industries, PSUs, and NGOs. The participants may be involved to create world-class solutions for some of the top organizations (including industries) in the world, thus helping the Private sector to hire the best minds from across the nation.
In this regard, VIT Bhopal University conducted INTERNAL HACKATHON FOR SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2020 on 1st February 2020. In this mega event totally 28 teams were registered and 27 teams participated. It included 21 teams for software edition and 6 teams for Hardware edition. The performance of the teams was evaluated by our jury members Dr. R. Manikandan, Dr. Pon Harsha Vardhanan and Dr Ribu Mathew. Subsequently, our jury members selected 7 teams in software edition and 4 teams in Hardware edition for Smart India Hackathon 2020 participation. Finally, our Honourable Vice Chancellor Dr. P. Gunasekaran felicitated the students on this great occasion and distributed participation certificates to all the participants.
