Brief Outline of the Admission Process

Step 1: Know your rank by visiting the said portal. VIT B.Tech. Results

Step 2: Pay a non-refundable counselling fee of Rs.5900 (inclusive of GST) in the counselling portal before the due date specified for each phase of counselling. The payment facility will be available starting 14th June 21. Payment should be done on the day prior to choice filling. If advance or full fee is not paid before this last date, admission gets cancelled

Step 3: After payment of counselling fee, you can participate in the online counselling process, and fill in your choice of campus, programme and category.
• Please note that once allotted, campus/ programme/ category cannot be changed.
• Please ensure that you fill more than 25 choices (no maximum choices) to get an allotment.

Step 4: Based on your rank and on the availability of seat, you will be allotted a programme, campus and category on the specified allotment date.
• To confirm your allotment, you have the option to pay a part of the tuition fee  or the full fee before the last date of each phase of counselling.

The classes will commence on 2nd August 2021.

ONLINE CONSELLING SYSTEM

Below listed are the steps to be followed for admission to B. Tech programme

• Step – 1: – Know your VIT rank
• Step – 2: – Acknowledge that you have read the instructions before you proceed
• Step – 3: – Give your choices of preferred Campus /Programme/Category/Specialisation/Minor (if any)
  • Step – 3.1: – There is no limit for maximum choices. By default, your choices will be prioritized based on the adding sequence in the Branch Selection menu
  • Step – 3.2: – Deletion of any of your choice will automatically reorder the priority
  • Step – 3.3: – Deletion of lower fee category for the choice is not possible unless higher fee category choice is deleted.
  • Step – 3.4: – Edit priority button will be enabled only if more than one choice is added.
  • Step – 3.5: – same priority for the choices are not possible
  • Step – 3.6: – Priority number should be within the maximum choices populated
  • Step – 3.7: – priority value should not be empty
  • Step – 3.8: – For the same course and campus you can give our choice starting from lower fee category (For Example, without selecting Category-3 you cannot select Category-4 or 5 in your choice filling)

• Step – 4: – you can edit the choices till the deadline
• Step – 5: – once the choice filling is locked you may view your choices for future reference
• Step – 6: – Seat Allotment will be done after the locking period and it is purely based on your rank
• Step – 7: – Once allotted, you may download provisional allotment letter from the payment portal, after paying the advance tuition fee
