The Ideathon event offers a unique platform for enthusiastic participants to come together to unleash their creativity by presenting pioneering ideas, typically focused on solving specific business problems or addressing challenges within a set timeframe.
BUSINESS IDEATHON
General Guidelines
- The ideas are open to all BBA/MBA / B.Tech/Int—MTech students.
- No Registration Fees for the Participants.
- All the participants will receive the participation certificates.
- Team size: 3-5 members.
- Each team should submit only one idea and no repetition of students is allowed in any team.
- Make sure you have a clear understanding of the challenge or theme of the Ideathon.
- Ideathon can be intense but remember to enjoy the process and stay positive. Celebrate your team’s achievements and the experience of creating something new.
The Ideathon shall be aligned to any of the following thematic domains:
- Supply Chain & Logistics
- IoT in Marketing
- HR Analytics
- AI in Financial Markets
Specifications for Ideathon
- The purpose is to generate new business ideas to solve specific problems or challenges and foster innovation and creativity among participants.
- It is a platform which provides networking with like-minded individuals and potential mentors who can identify and develop new business opportunities.
- For Business Ideathons, the presentation slides need to have a white background. You can use colored fonts or images to enhance their visual appeal.
- The presentation should have at least 5 slides and no more than 15 slides (excluding the Title slide and Thank you slide).
- The VIT Logo should be in the top right corner of every slide in the PowerPoint presentation.
- Ideas must be original and developed for the Ideathon, with no plagiarism or copying of existing ideas.
- The presentation should not be overly flashy. However, it should still be visually appealing. Videos are not allowed in the presentation.
- Please ensure the font size, style, and color of the text in the body and headings of the presentation slides are consistent.
- The initial slide should list all team members along with their registration numbers and the names of faculty supervisors.

Selection and evaluation details:
1. The first level of screening will be conducted by internal members by reviewing the submitted presentation (ppts).
2. All students should note that evaluation shall be done based on the concepts of Entrepreneurship, Start-up and Innovation.
3. Second level, all selected teams should present their presentation in person to the internal experts as per the provided schedule (31.07.2024).
4. Evaluation will be done by the internal expert team.
5. Any violation of above stated guidelines leads to disqualification.
6. After the selection results of second round, selected teams should showcase their final presentations to External Committee Members (from industry) on 3rd August 2024. (Time: 10:00 AM – 03:00 PM) in the provided venue.
